Pleasurable Guilt

I've always prided myself on being musically pretentious but even the most cursory glance at my playlist would prove otherwise. I'm just a 90s boy and no matter how hard we try, we just can't resist the mainstream. Especially when the pop artist in question is Amerie. I've got a weakness for dark chocolate and Korean barbecue and these two delicacies came together and broke the mold when the powers that be came up with Amerie (read the end of that sentence just right and you'll be rewarded with a little jingle of my own creation). Some people might say it's the ultimate vanity to prize, over all others, the features that you possess yourself (yours truly just happens to be mocha-skinned and squinty-eyed) and those people are exactly right. I love myself. With all my heart (To the wunderkinds who thought that was a euphemism for excessive masturbation: I salute you. You are all national treasures. Now get back to working on that cure for cancer).

Take Control of the video below. (The song really launches after the annoying little intro. Don't let it discourage you. The sinfully addictive guitar riff after it is worth the wait)

You're a sexy creature!

I don't know I allergic to social programmings like these now (it makes me feel the vomit)!

Underneath that beauty lies a little child, who don't know what and why the hack this world is...

I will call her a spoiled bitch!

Why thank you. I am somewhat of a beast ;).

I think underneath Amerie is a business-minded woman who knows she's got the looks to sell her music and she's not afraid to use them. The same goes for most popstars around thesedays. Don't underestimate them. They're all not as stupid as they look. While we sit in our socially aware one bedroom-apartments and pity them in our holier-than-thou off-the-rack boxers these poor spoiled bitches are raking in the millions.

Personally I think she knows she can put some people in her pussy trance! To me she is an illusion that will be lost at time!

Who said life is fair! and I bet happiness in life is much important than ranking in the millions...

You will find it one day! BTW until then enjoy!

Haha duoooode! I'm not a materialist but I'm not naive enough to think that in today's world you can get by without makin' a few bucks on the side. There's a reason why the 60s failed bro. Just because a woman's learned to use the system to get her own doesn't make her any less spiritual or intellectual than the rest of us.

Try telling the world's poverty-stricken and helpless that happiness can't be bought with green paper and they'll laugh in your face. The only reason that a certain number of us can sit back and blog about this and that is because we've been provided for enough that we don't need to worry about the rest of life's little problems.

I'm not lecturing you boo I'm just trynna tell you I've been there and done that and that road just leads nowhere.
